Legal Clinic for the Homeless (Bridge Over Troubled Waters)

The Lawyers Clearinghouse operates free legal clinics throughout the year at four area shelters. In order to qualify, clients must be homeless, using shelter services, or otherwise income eligible for free legal services. This week’s clinic will match pro bono attorneys from Locke Lord with homeless clients at the Bridge Over Troubled Waters seeking legal assistance.
Please note: The Bridge is a shelter intended for young people who are 18 to 24 years of age. Clients outside of this age range should come to one of our other clinics at the Pine Street Inn, St. Francis House, or the Medeiros Center.

Clients who are unable to sign up in advance may still attend a clinic. We try to assist with most legal issues but do not take any domestic relations cases (divorce, custody, child support, etc) or represent defendants in criminal trials.
