Myra Green

From 1977 to 2004, Myra Green was an associate and later a partner in the Health Care Department at Choate, Hall & Stewart in Boston. During her career at the firm, Myra represented clients in many sectors of the health care industry including individual health care professionals, institutional health care providers, and health plans. Between 2004 and 2009, Myra was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Health Dialog Corporation, a Boston-based disease management company with business in the United States and Europe. In 2009, Myra became Senior Vice President and General Counsel at DentaQuest, a national dental benefits company. Myra retired from DentaQuest in 2013.

Myra received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1972 and her B.A. in 1969 from the University of Pennsylvania.

For her project, Myra will be working with the Medical Legal Partnership | Boston. MLP | Boston was formed in 1993 in response to a growing recognition that improving the health of vulnerable individuals can often only be achieved by addressing health-harming legal problems such as unhealthy housing conditions, accessing health and disability benefits, securing appropriate school services for children with autism and obtaining guardianship for children of terminally ill parents. Myra will be assisting MLP | Boston by coordinating and participating in MLP | Boston’s ongoing efforts to develop educational and training materials and tools to support healthcare staff and patients in “knowing one’s rights” in a variety of civil law contexts, and in obtaining help when needed to exercise those rights.
